Twiggy Frostbite - Seashore

스웨덴 예블레 출신의 인디 포크 걸그룹 트위기 프로스트바이트의 새로운 뮤직비디오가 공개되었다. 2015년 발매를 위해 프로모션중인 제목 미정의 두번째 스튜디오앨범에 수록될 것으로 보이는 새로운 싱글 Seashore의 뮤직비디오는 등골을 오싹하게 해주는 톱연주 소리가 오컬트적인 영상과 더불어 장엄하고 신비한 트위기 프로스트바이트만의 매력을 보여주는데 부족함이 없어 보인다. 북유럽의 정서를 느낄수 있는 서사적인 사운드를 들려주는 트위기 프로스트바이트는 천편일률적인 우리나라 걸그룹의 생태계에서 새로운 방향을 제시하는데도 기여할수 있을 것으로 보인다. 실력과 음악성을 갖추고 직접 연주까지 가능한 라이브 밴드 걸그룹들을 국내에서도 만나봤으면 좋겠다.

Swedish band Twiggy Frostbite received considerable international attention when they released their debut album ‘Through Fire’ on Despotz Records in 2008. Including reviews and positive mentions in media like The Sunday Times, NME, Uncut, Clash and Vice Magazine. They also had radio support from the likes of Steve Lamacq and Gideon Coe, and were also picked as ‘Band Of The Week’ on The Radcliffe And Maconie Show (BBC Radio 2).

Twiggy Frostbite is back with the new single ‘Seashore’, a first taste of their second album scheduled to be released in early 2015. The band consists of Elin Lindfors (The Deer Tracks) and Anna-Karin Berglund (live musician with The Deer Tracks), Emma Sjöberg and newly added member Sofia Stolpe.
