동화같은 아름다운 음악을 들려주는 호주 출신의 일렉트로이카 듀오 윌로우 비츠의 새로운 싱글 Merewif의 뮤직비디오가 공개되었다. 삼촌과  조카사이로 알려진 나라야나 존슨과 칼야니 뮴타즈로 구성된 윌로우 비츠는 지난해 여름 ALCHEMY를 발표하고 세상에 첫 모습을 알렸었다. 윌로우 비츠의 새로운 싱글곡 Merewif는 오는 9월 12일 워너뮤직 오스트레일리아를 통해서 발표될 듀오의 대망의 데뷔 스튜디오 앨범 Water에 수록될 리드오프 싱글곡으로 확인되었다.

With fans across the globe holding their collective breath for the better part of a year, Willow Beats recently broken the silence, announcing their sophomore EP ‘Water’ through fresh-faced WA label, Pilerats, and this - the booming first single - 'Merewif'.

A careful tapestry of sub-laden dreamscapes with nods to UK contemporaries Mount Kimbie and silky pop hooks best associated with Purity Ring and Glasser, ‘water’ follows up the critically acclaimed 'Alchemy' EP of 2013, & deivers another deeply emotive record - showcasing Narayanas ever morphing cochlea-bruising production, and dual-vocal arrangements appearing for the very first time. 

Mastered by Matt Colton (James Blake/Flume) & Ben Feggans at Studios 301, the bubbling swagger of Guardian & Ramayana sitting alongside the sonic thunderstorm of Airships, the heart-string-tugging dance jams of 6 minute epic Chess, and a couple more for good measure.
