Jessi Malay - The Edge

미국 로스 앤젤리스출신의 신인 싱어 송 라이터 제시 말레이의 새로운 싱글곡 The Edge의 뮤직비디오가 공개되었다. 2살때부터 가수의 열정을 키웠다는(?) 제시 말레이는 워너브라더스 레코드와 계약하며 2007년 첫 싱글을 선보였었지만 관심을 받지 못하고 기억속에서 사라졌었다. 하지만 이에 굴하지 않고 2012년 UCLA대학을 졸업하고 독립적인 자신의 레이블 회사를 만들며 데뷔앨범을 준비한 제시 말레이는 2014년 대망의 데뷔 스튜디오앨범 Give Me Life를 지난 5월 13일 발매하였다. 추수감사절을 맞이하여 전격 공개된 새로운 싱글곡 The Edge는 아직 공개되지 않은 그녀의 미발표 트랙곡으로 확인되었다.

So excited to finally officially release The Edge! Many of you have already heard this song because I’ve been performing it a lot acoustically over the past year. You’ve been asking for the full version, so here it is with a little video we shot last weekend while on a trip to Palm Springs!

This song is about a new love…that point in the beginning of a new relationship when you want so badly to give your heart away, but just can’t out of fear of losing control. What I’ve learned, is it’s worth throwing yourself into love because nothing in the world is comparable…it outweighs everything, even heartbreak. I hope some of you will be able to relate to this song…Let me know what you think!
