Artist Biography: The Chicken Queens duo was originally formed by Matteo Capirossi (guitarist and songwriter). After he'd tried many drummers, he found the perfect chemistry with Luca Sernesi. 
The group is basically a garage blues duo with indie and alternative rock tendencies. It has been inspired by high blues figures like the "father of Chicago blues" Muddy Waters, but also by the Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the White Stripes and the Strokes. 
The choice of being a duo is an important detail for them. Their creativity is based on an empathic harmony. The songs are spontaneous, unpredictable; sometimes they are changed in live sessions. A mistake can be a new potentiality. And that is possible because of the great musical harmony between the two artists. Their instruments follow each other, creating new melodies, new rhythms. 
The sound is essencial and rudimental. That's a blues that is near to the grunge and want to become punk. The music is fresh; the rough sound wants to give people more emotion than technique. And this music is able to interpret in a modern key the old blues. It is vibrant, alive, and it can be shared. It's not limited by the technique, because this one can be dangerous for this genre.

About The Video: In 1965 an experimental holographic video film was recorded during one of The Chicken Queens' greatest concerts. The purpose of the recording was to make a future audience be able to re-live that amazing experience. About 50 years after that night, the Chicken Queens are about to get on stage once again.
