Back And Forth as a track has long been a personal favorite of Artymove as a group and the track have sort of been craving for a rap feature. 
When experiencing Mercedes live in Stockholm last year they were hooked and totally blown away and to their great excitement, when approaching her about featuring on Back And Forth, she fell in love with the beat. 
Mercedes took the tune to completely new heights. And they simply love her for it.

The tune has something of a Nordic voodoo air around it. The starting point for the lyrics were the slightly mysterious rituals of sauna bathing. And sex. Artymove wanted the video to reflect all of this. During a test shoot they tried the slow motion mode of the iPhone 5S instead of a Red-camera and the lesser quality felt just right. They didn't want it to look crisp, they wanted it to look lofi! The main lighting consisted of a small flashlight. So the whole video is shot with an iPhone 5S in slow motion mode. There you go!

Born in London and raised in Christiania (the part of Copenhagen known for its squats, punk and liberal outlook on life) Mercedes was thrown into the creative community from an early age. With an anything-but-normal childhood, soundtracked by Neneh Cherry, David Bowie and Old Dirty Bastard; she even had Lauryn Hill freestyle about her hair and kept friends with imaginary pirates, all before discovering her love for singing in Alex James' studio.
