Oceaán - Veritas

실험적인 신디사이저의 변조와 리드미컬한 비트 사운드를 들려주는 영국 맨체스터 출신의 프로듀서 오우션의 새로운 싱글곡 Veritas의 뮤직비디오가 공개되었다. 오는 12월 22일 발매될 예정인 셀프타이틀 데뷔앨범에서 가져온 오시언의 데뷔 싱글곡 Veritas는 약간은 혼란스러운 알앤비 샘플과 무거운 신디사이저 라이프 그리고 엇박자 스런 비트스냅이 기묘하게 어울어진 곡으로 영국의 평론가들로 부터 천재라는 수식어로 찬사를 받았다. 한마디로 신선하다는 표현으로 받아 드릴수 있겠지만 이런류의 음악을 처음 들어보는 우리나라 대중들에게는 듣보잡이나 갑툭튀로 인식될만큼 난해한 곡으로 해석된다. 일단 마스크는 트래스 포머 2의 주연으로 알려진 배우 샤이라 라보프 느낌도 나는것 같고 후한 점수를 줘도 좋을듯 하다.

Manchester-via-Brussells pop artist Oceaán's pop jams are knotted up like something in the Greenwich Maritime Museum – all submerged synths and heart-tugging hooks – but here he shows how you can contort your body to them as well. Directed by London-based filmmaker Ozzie Pullin, “Veritas” shows a loose-limbed pair of dancers straight out of Frank's Rooftop Bar in Peckham – and into the carpark and green spaces below.
